More fracking madness

CM's latest outburst on the appalling Ukrainian situation is to use it as a pretext to open up new fossil fuel exploitation, including fracking, which has been roundly condemned.

Posting about the Russian invasion of Ukraine he suggests it will become known as the "natural gas war". Funny that, I thought it was all about Putin's desire to assimilate the old USSR states back into Russia, rather than a purely fossil-fuel strategy.

Anyway, Craig goes on to mention our continued reliance on Russian gas, coal and oil (but doesn't mention the Conservative party's compliicity over the last 12 or so years by rejecting green investment and continuing to pour millions of pounds of subsidies into fossil fuels).

He even suggests we can ameliorate this by embracing fracking and nuclear, despite the enormous lead times, climate damage and sheer cost of these crazy alternatives.
