It's not all Putin's fault

Craig, along with his right-wing Tory colleagues, are keen to put all the blame for the cost-of-living crisis on the brutal Russian president

According to Craig Mackinlay:

"We must frack for gas, we must dash to new nuclear and if that means a sensible re-appraisal of the path to Net Zero with an arbitrary date of 2050, then so be it. Blame Vladimir Putin."

There’s nothing arbitrary about the 2050 date; scientists assure us that if we have not reached zero emissions by then man’s survival is in question. Any ongoing exploitation of fossil fuels bring this date closer. This isn’t Putin’s fault – it is the fault of the government of which Craig is a member.

They have failed to invest heavily into green energies, have cancelled plans to insulate homes and ensure high insulation standards for new-builds, and have continued to subsidise fossil fuels at colossal levels.
